Camps

Cadets find that camps can be one of the best times at cadets. There are Squadron camps where we practice field craft and participate in many activities, and there are Wing Camps where cadets get to meet people from other squadrons and live on an RAF Base for a week.

Squadron Camps

Squadron camps are great fun. Cadets camp for a weekend and participate in adventure training. This includes activities like traversing a suspended rope, night exercises and assault courses. we usually participate in 3 per year.

Every Christmas we also go to stay indoors at a campsite where we have Christmas Camp. Many cadets find this camp the highlight of the year with a more relaxed atmosphere and hilarious activities like the Scavenge Exercise and Stars in their Eyes>

Wing Camps

Varying from 30 - 300 cadets, Wing run camps are a highlight, generally only appearing two or three times a year, and featuring limited places. Often held at points throughout the British isles, from Scotland to Wales, these events have a much more social atmosphere, as Cadets travel to and stay on an RAF or other Military Base giving them the opportunity to visit different parts of a military installation and meet many new friends.
