The Air Training Corps is a uniformed organisation and as such cadets are expected to wear uniform when on duty.
Being affiliated to the Royal Air Force, discipline is enforced more strictly than in other organisations and there are several rules and regulations that have to be followed relating to appearance (eg. haircuts! and jewellery!).
However, this is not too onerous and everything is explained during the basic training programme that is followed as soon as a recruit joins.
Discipline definitely doesn't stop us from having fun!
