Stapleford Cadets learn to survive

30 Cadets from 504 (West Nottingham) Squadron & 1360 (Stapleford & Sandiacre) Squadron, Air Cadets recently braved the October cold as they camped at Johns Lee Wood Scout Camp in Leicestershire

The Adventure Training Weekend was staffed by 8 instructors from both squadrons who were assisted by a Royal Air Force Regiment gunner.

The Activities covered over the weekend included a Night Exercise, Day Exercise, Rope Crossing (Flt Lt Munns (Officer Commanding 1360 Sqn) Speciality), Casevac, Camouflage and Concealment (with the RAF Regiment), Living in the field lessons (fire building, cooking, shelters, etc)

Despite the cold weather the Cadets enjoyed the camping element to the weekend.
